General Dynamics NASSCO-Mayport is supporting OCONUS planned maintenance availabilities (PMAV) for the LCS Freedom class-variant ships. Teams of technicians from all trades have conducted Planned and Emergent Maintenance on LCS ships deployed throughout the 4th Fleet’s Area of Responsibility, frequently requiring quick reaction time while overcoming COVID-19 impediments. At the time of this writing, our maintenance team is in place at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Ships supported thus far include USS Detroit (LCS 7), USS Little Rock (LCS 9), and USS Sioux City (LCS 11).
